This clears the area around the pond, opening the canopy up and allowing light to penetrate to the woodland floor. I look forward to a well deserved early night!

Holding the Fort
Today Will and myself were left to it, as it were, as Robin was away for the day. We started off with the morning feed around before gathering in the old electric fence paddock on the common and clipping on warning signs to the new live fence. Whilst doing so, we discovered a badly tangled wether that had completely wrapped itself in brambles. We cut him free using the dagging shears and removed the freshly debarked apple branches. I then bottle fed O.A.P.s two lambs and we stopped for some lunch. After collecting Will's new chainsaw, we set to work around the pond on the common; Will felling the trees, myself and Tony burning the scrap branches.
